Líder de al Qaeda abatido luego de ataque contra estación de la policía afgana.La Fuerza Internacional de Asistencia a la Seguridad confirmó la muerte de Abu Baqir, subcomandante del Talibán y líder del grupo Al Qaeda este domingo, después de que una patrulla aérea de la coalición alcanzara su camioneta en la provincia Kunduz.
Él fue uno de los dos insurgentes muertos en el ataque aéreo, que ocurrió después de que la patrulla aérea viera a los insurrectos atacar la estación de policía de Aliabad. La patrulla aérea rastreó a los insurgentes desde la comisaría y cuando determinaron que no había civiles en el área, atacaron la camioneta. La patrulla mató a dos insurgentes entre los que se encontraba Baqir, quién alojaba según se informa, cuatro potenciales suicidas con bombas para próximos ataques contra la ciudad de Kunduz. El ataque aéreo también hirió a otros insurgentes. Una fuerza de seguridad más tarde detuvo a dos de ellos en el hospital.

Al Qaeda Leader Killed after Attack on Afghan Police Station.

The International Security Assistance Force confirmed the death of Abu Baqir, a dual-hatted Taliban sub-commander and Al Qaeda group leader, after a coalition force air weapons team engaged his truck in Kunduz province Sunday.
He was one of two insurgents killed in the strike, which occurred after the air weapons team witnessed the insurgents attacking an Aliabad police station. The air weapons team tracked the insurgents from the police station and when they determined no civilians were in the area, they engaged the truck. The air weapons team killed two insurgents including Baqir, who was reportedly housing four potential suicide bombers for upcoming attacks on the city of Kunduz. The strike also wounded other insurgents. A follow-on security force detained two of them at the hospital.
